Facebook API – Post Like Button On Your Website

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

Okay, if you’ve been following Facebook for anytime now, you notice that there’s over 500M users of Facebook. And if you’re in affiliate marketing, you really need to give Facebook your full attention, because that’s where most of the people are, and you’ll be able to drive traffic from Facebook itself to your website. What I just learned a new strategy you can use and it’s called Facebook API and basically you can apply to be a developer on Facebook and then put Facebook applications right on your website or blog. To do this, you simply go to Facebook, log into your Facebook account, then the next step would be to type in the URL bar at the top Facebook/developer and then on that window — that website, you would click on create new application, you click on that tab and that will — you will then become a developer.

From that point, you can research more on how to use Facebook’s API through their developer network. In this post, I’m not going to go into details on how to apply Facebook API. But, one of the things you can do is you can put a like button onto your website. This like button will then be shared with all your friends on Facebook and when people come to your web site and click on your like button, they’ll also share it to their friends. So, this is a nice way to allow your website to become viral with inside of Facebook. You can also create, kind of like a testimonial section on your website and people can read posts and comments about your website on your website and also on Facebook at the very same time. So, you can invite your friends to your website and then they can leave their comments using their Facebook account.

This again is another way that you can make your website viral with inside of Facebook itself. In summary, I hope that you use Facebook API in your next website development. For more information on how to use Facebook API in your website, please visit facebook.com/developer. We will see you in the next tutorial.

Are you using Facebook groups?

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

The biggest drawback of Facebook is that you have to message one person at a time, and if you are trying to message your friends too quickly, your account could be banned. If you’re a marketer, this is a big problem.

Let me introduce to you Facebook groups. With Facebook groups, you could have an unlimited membership, and you can send your friends as many messages as you would like. Another great thing about groups is that the messages that you send out also are posted on their wall, so their friends can see what is going on inside the group.

Here’s how to get started with Facebook groups:

1. Go to your Facebook profile.

2. Underneath your picture, you should see a link that says groups.

3. Then click on the create groups button and fill out the appropriate information.

4. Now here’s where the magic happens. Invite all your friends to your group.

5. Once your group is established, be sure to create a continuous daily message program to let all your friends know what’s going on inside your group.

6. Encourage others to invite people to your group. This will ensure that your group will grow and grow.

Well, I hope that’s a good introduction to Facebook groups. This is a very powerful tool that you can use to build large groups of people or lists of people and get them involved in your marketing program. I hope that you enjoyed this lesson on Facebook groups.

What about Ask.com?

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Ask.com is the ranked 58 out all the web sites in the world and gets over 50 million page views a month. But, it is way behind other sites in popularity, such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, Facebook and Youtube. So, it is often forgotten as a traffic source.

Even so there is more than enough traffic on Ask.com to make a very profitable marketing campaign. The clicks for even high volume keywords are very low compared to other ad networks. They have a targeting and tracking tool that is very good and simple to use.

Plus there customer service team is very helpful to their advertisers, unlike some of its big name competitors.

Here’s a few pointers when using Ask Sponsored listings
1. After you start your account , email the support team and ask them to turn off your “automatic refill”.

2. Secondly, you want to manually place money on your account and don’t let your account be manually debted every time you hit your refill limit. This will keep you on budget.

3. Third test your keywords in “Exact” match until you find out which keywords are converting for you. Then you can expand to “broad” match for more traffic.

Another nice thing about Ask Sponsored listings is that there is not a “quality” score. It’s just a straight bidding pricing model.

I wish you well and I highly recommend that you give Ask Sponsored listings a try.
