Affiliate Revenue From A Blog?

Every affiliate promotion that you post on your blog should be done so tastefully while still being mindful of the important stuff. Every blogger needs to know at least a few things if they are going to make it work. These are those things.
Understand the Needs of Your Blog Readers: If you want to correctly serve your readers and earn money from affiliate sales, you need to actually understand your readers and what kind of needs they have. To do this, you need to study how the trends change, analyze the responses your readers have to your affiliate offers as well as figure out exactly what they want and need. If you feel like your blog content and the affiliate products you want to promote within it don’t exactly jive with each other you need to figure out a way to fix this so that you can better serve the needs of your readers.
Transparency is Your Goal: Trying to trick a reader into buying something shady or of low quality is a big mistake. You need to be transparent (honest) with your readers to improve their trust in you. Readers are going to trust you for who you are and trust your recommendations so make sure you know exactly what you’re promoting. It can only help you use the relevant disclaimers when you include an affiliate link in your blog. Your blog is all about creating a trusting bond with your readers, and the affiliate products you promote should help you enhance this relationship, rather than break it.
Promote Bonuses: Even though there are all sorts of different techniques used by Internet Marketers for affiliate marketing not all of them are wildly successful. One good way of increasing the chance of boosting your affiliate sales through your blog is to add value to the product you’re promoting by giving away a bonus. The conversion rate will significantly be much higher when you use a strong bonus that enhances the value of the affiliate product. You do not have to do a ton of work on the bonus, it just needs to compliment your original offer while also offering your reader much more for his money. The bonus you offer shouldn’t be added for no reason; it’s purpose is to add value and help set your offer apart and be more appealing to your readers.
There is much more to learn, but you can take what you have just read and implement it straight away in your affiliate marketing business.

Affiliate Membership – System Upgrades On The Way

We are excited to announce many new features are on the way to your Affiliate Membership account and they won’t cost you a single penny! That’s right we are not charging members to “upgrade” their account to the new platform we have been working on feverishly for months now. We have taken all of your requests into consideration and put as many of them into this upgrade as we possibly could without delaying it’s launch. You will probably begin to see some of these upgrade features being installed at the end of next week if all goes according to plan here on our end. Here is a list of some of the new features in our upgrade:
#1. Landing Page Builder – You asked for it and so we built it !! You will now be able to customize and build your own landing pages for each offer utilizing a drag and drop landing page builder system. It’s going to be state of the art absolutely amazing! You can now create a single landing page for each and every offer on your site, choose from many banners/creatives for that offer and place them wherever you like, and even put your own content on the page to help promote the offer.
#2. New Template System – New templates are on the way! You will have HUNDREDS to choose from as we have redesigned the core portion of our framework. This means your sites will not only look better, but also function better as well.
#3. Affiliate Links – You will now be able to pull your links for each offer and place them on other web properties you may own. Instead of having to always send someone through your website you will be able to send them directly to the offer.

Staying Focused Is Key To Affiliate Marketing

We all know that there are many elements that we consider “key” elements to success. As with anything you do dedication, time, effort, determination, wisdom, knowledge they are all important factors in you being successful with affiliate marketing. We think that, while everything is important, staying focused might just be the most important key to success. All to often we are busy with our day to day activities and forget to do the things we need to do for our affiliate marketing. It’s pretty easy to forget seeing as how most everyone reading this probably just considers affiliate marketing something you do part time for some extra cash. Unless you are making hundreds of thousands of dollars it’s probably not your main stream of income and therefore it can get overlooked fairly easy for days at a time. While this may be common it certainly isn’t a good thing for you or your success in affiliate marketing. This industry requires you to stay focused and set goals in order to become successful.
We always suggest being goal oriented because it gives you a target to work towards. If you don’t have goals you just sit on the computer every day doing a plethora of things that add up to basically nothing. If you have a goal in mind then your doing things to achieve that goal and eventually they can pay off when you successfully get to that point. We will point out a few goals and how to plan for those goals right now:
#1. Let’s say you want to have a successful blog on (maybe blogster.com) about weight loss, online movie rentals, and skin care.
GOAL: Create 3 blogs on blogster.com (one for each category), generate traffic to those blogs by blogging daily, linking, and promotion.
Focus on:
#1. Setting up the blogs over at www.blogster.com
#2. Writing a post on each blog every day of the week. Never miss one!
#3. Posting links to your blog on forums, other blogs, and other websites.
#4. Submit articles with links and information on your blog to article websites.
#5. Utilize Twitter, Facebook, & MySpace to drive your social network friends to your blog daily.
You see you have a goal and you also have things to focus on each and every day. It really helps to draw something like this out for everything you want to do with your affiliate marketing website. If you want to setup PPC accounts on Google, Yahoo!, MSN draw out your goal, how many ads you want to have written, and then write out the steps to get there. Each time you finish a step simply mark it off your list and continue on. Before you know it you will have achieved your goal and success should be right around the corner. Free Advertising Technique #4 – The Radio

Sounds a bit out there huh? I mean how in the word can you get “free advertising” on “the radio” right? Well actually it can happen in some areas of the country. Radio stations typically love to help their listeners out (kinda like local news stations). It shouldn’t be hard for you to give them a buzz and see if you can get on their morning show, late show, or the drive at 5 show in your local area. PR companies normally handle this for you, however, they cost money. There is absolutely nothing wrong with YOU acting as your own PR agent and locking down some radio PR for your website. You just need a story (typically how you got started) and a cause (to help people find better deals online). This strategy may be harder to utilize in large cities like New York, Chicago, LA etc but in small towns typically people will help each other out, and radio stations are willing to get you a little PR in every once in awhile. This strategy is “thinking outside the box” which is good. It’s time for you to start thinking differently so you can open up doors to opportunities that would have otherwise been closed. So today, right now, start calling local radio stations and see if you can land yourself a nice PR spot.
