Sample Landing Page

I’m going to show you how to create this Aweber
landing page. Now, the benefits of using A Webber as your landing page is
first of all you will never be sand boxed. You don’t have to host anything. All
you do is pay your monthly fee for you Aweber account and this will stay up
forever. It’s as simple as sending an email and you can customize a URL and
redirect it to this webpage, if you wanted to. For example, if you wanted to go
and get petrolscooters.com, you can do that or whatever you wanted to get for
SEO purposes. Aweber will also track your stats for you as well. Which is very
useful to know how many hits your offer has.

I’m going to show you an Amazon affiliate product. But you could use
Clickbank, CPA or any other type of affiliate programs.

The only downside to this Aweber landing page is there’s no way to change it.
There’s no way to fix it once you have it up there. So in that case, you’d have
to change all your links, to this page and create a new page.

So, let me show you the steps to setting up a aweber landing page and then
I’ll show you a live example of an aweber landing page.

Inside your Aweber account:
1. Generate or create a new list (click on the "Create new list" link)
2. Name your list with a keyword.
3. Create a you web page html file. Create your content in a html editor (like
NVU, Dreamweaver, Frontpage)
All your content should fit in a 650 pixel wide table.
4. In aweber, click message/broadcast
5. Then click a the green button "New Broadcast"
6. Click the "Source Tab" and paste in you Html from your Editor. Make
sure your images are hosted online.
7. Now, click on the check box next to "Share post via social media"
3/4 down the page.
(Note: copy your new URL and RSS page link.)
8. Check your work and then hit "save & post"
9. Make sure you click the green "Query" button.

After you page is posted:

1. Navigate out to your aweber url. Then click on the link that goes to
the exact page the your content is on. Copy that url.
2. Bookmark and ping your new url.
3. Optional: buy url with your keywords and do SEO.

The biggest drawback of Facebook is that you have to message one person at a time, and if you are trying to message your friends too quickly, your account could be banned. If you’re a marketer, this is a big problem.

Let me introduce to you Facebook groups. With Facebook groups, you could have an unlimited membership, and you can send your friends as many messages as you would like. Another great thing about groups is that the messages that you send out also are posted on their wall, so their friends can see what is going on inside the group.

Here’s how to get started with Facebook groups:

1. Go to your Facebook profile.

2. Underneath your picture, you should see a link that says groups.

3. Then click on the create groups button and fill out the appropriate information.

4. Now here’s where the magic happens. Invite all your friends to your group.

5. Once your group is established, be sure to create a continuous daily message program to let all your friends know what’s going on inside your group.

6. Encourage others to invite people to your group. This will ensure that your group will grow and grow.

Well, I hope that’s a good introduction to Facebook groups. This is a very powerful tool that you can use to build large groups of people or lists of people and get them involved in your marketing program. I hope that you enjoyed this lesson on Facebook groups.

If you want the first place, all you have to do is bid the to price on the screen. Another nice feature about Miva is that it’s super easy to use.

Okay, in June Google activated a new component to it’s ranking system. In basic terms is measures human activity on a web site. In others words are people stopping by your web site? Are they subscribing to the RSS? Are they leaving comments on the site? Those type of things.

I have talked to a few of my friends who had good page ranking in the SERPS and they said they lost about 20% of thier traffic in the adjustment. Some the suggests from them are. First, make sure you have some kind of RSS feed or widget on your website. This will keep the bots coming back to your site to get updates. Second, use a
site like feedage.com to aggregate your RSS feed. This will get you some activity in RSS feeders. Third, step is to create daily back links - I use service call LinkAloha. You can set this to create as many high quality backlinks as you need.

By applying some changes to your sites you should be able to maintain to Search engine rankings.

Are you tired of getting bullied by Google? It’s getting almost impossible to use Google Adwords unless you are a high roller and even then I have heard bad reviews. I created a brand new Adwords
account and sent traffic to blog hosted on my domain. Only to get this message two weeks after I stopped running my campaign.

“We are writing to let you know that your Google AdWords account is at risk of being suspended due to multiple violations related to our Advertising Policies, including the Landing Page and Site Quality Guidelines.”

The letter went on to say:
“Landing pages advertised via AdWords must have relevant, original content, and must be transparent about the nature of the business being promoted. Further, advertisers are prohibited from promoting certain types of sites, which include, but are not limited to:
* Data collection sites that imply delivery of free items, etc., in order to collect private information
* Arbitrage sites without relevant and original content that are designed for the purpose of showing ads
* Affiliate sites without relevant and original content that are designed to drive traffic to another site with a different domain
* “Get-rich quick” sites that make unrealistic promises
* Sites that are deceptive
* Sites that distribute malware or spyware
* Extremely misleading/unverifiable or inaccurate claims”

So basically if I have anything to sell on my page it’s not acceptable.

This is my last dealing with Google I swear… But, That enough trash talking.

Let me tell to about a great company Ask.com. These guys are great to work with and as of right now I can Direct link to my sales pages with out any craziness.

Ask.com is the ranked 58 out all the web sites in the world and gets over 50 million page views a month. But, it is way behind other sites in popularity, such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, Facebook and Youtube. So, it is often forgotten as a traffic source.

Even so there is more than enough traffic on Ask.com to make a very profitable marketing campaign. The clicks for even high volume keywords are very low compared to other ad networks. They have a targeting and tracking tool that is very good and simple to use.

Plus there customer service team is very helpful to their advertisers, unlike some of its big name competitors.

Here’s a few pointers when using Ask Sponsored listings
1. After you start your account , email the support team and ask them to turn off your “automatic refill”.

2. Secondly, you want to manually place money on your account and don’t let your account be manually debted every time you hit your refill limit. This will keep you on budget.

3. Third test your keywords in “Exact” match until you find out which keywords are converting for you. Then you can expand to “broad” match for more traffic.

Another nice thing about Ask Sponsored listings is that there is not a “quality” score. It’s just a straight bidding pricing model.

I wish you well and I highly recommend that you give Ask Sponsored listings a try.

Ebay Pluse tracks the buying habits of thousands of transactions everyday. It gives you the most popular topics and items searched for on Ebay.

Ebay is one the biggest online market places. With all their consumer data, where else would I go to do my market research. The first step in any good marketing plan is to find a HUNGRY market. Let’s face it, you could have the greatest produce or service, but if no one wants to buy it what good is it.

Ebay Pluse tracks the buying habits of thousands of transactions everyday. It gives you the most popular topics and items searched for on Ebay.

For example the most popular searches:
1. wii
2. cricut cartridge
3. iphone
4. ipod touch
5. ipod
6. coach
7. xbox 360
8. wii games
9. laptop
10. ps3

What does this list tells us is? There is a lot traffic for these items. So, if we could develop an affiliate relationship with a company like Amazon ,for example, you could develop commission on these types of products.

But, we can also go deeper with Ebay Pluse. You can use the category option to go deeper into different niche markets.

For Example:
Electronics> GPS Navigation > Tracking Devices
Would yield the following results:

1. gps
2. garmin gps
3. garmin
4. dog tracking system
5. gps navigation
6. spot
7. hand held gps
8. usb gps
9. handheld gps
10. spy camera

Now, we are getting a little more targeted. We could easily develop a strong keyword lists on these words. With a little work you could find different markets like “Cheating on Spouse” “Dog Training” “Spying” “Hunting” “travel and Hiking”

I would take this information and find the top selling products and/or web site for each. Then I would develop keywords with Google’s External Keyword Tool. With my keywords I would run a quick PPC campaign to find which keywords convert the best.

The problem with most marketers is that they start off on the wrong foot. Most online marketers find a product they are passionate about and then they go out hunting a market. Only to end up frustrated that they are not making any sales.

So, let me ask you this… What came first, the ThighMaster or unwanted thigh fat… Teeth Whitener or coffee-stained teeth… Acne Cures or pimples?

Right, the market has always been there for these products… all that had to be done was to introduce the market to a product for the right price.

What is so cool about the internet is… there are so many tools on the internet that collect marketing data for you. All you have to do is learn how to access the information and discover these gold mines.

The tool I want to introduce you too today is 43Things.com. On this site people list 43 things they like to do before they die. The important thing about this site is that people list what they are most interested in. People who are passionate about something are buyers. People buy on emotion and not logic.

How can you use this site for market research? Simply go to the first page at 43Things.com. You will see a page of blue hyperlinked words. Read through the text until you spot a very specific idea, for example “going cross country skiing” (NOT “be loved” or “learn as much as I can” too vague)

Click on the specific terms. You will see Google adsense ads on the right side of the page. Check out what people are advertising for sale. Vacation packages, tour guides, equipment, airline tickets. Could you make money selling these items? Yes or Yes.

See how simple that was… Imagine how many different markets you can discover with just a little research and clicking.

I am sure you have heard how hot mobile marketing is this year. This is the year of mobile marketing. It’s like someone just opened a candy shop and all the kids are stampeding to get their hands on some goodies.

If you want those kids… you may want to check of the new options inside your Google adwords account.

http://www.google.com/mobileads/advertiser_home.html

Google, being one not to pass up on any mobile device to display their ads on, announced on April 2, 2010 that it has opened up its AdWords platform to advertisers who want to launch campaigns on Apple’s iPad. The announcement reads: “Like many of you, we’re excited about the upcoming release of Apple’s iPad and the promise of tablet computers. Innovative products like the iPad are on the cutting edge of a whole new class of devices that promise to make accessing information and content easier and more fun.

“Over the past year, we’ve been working to make sure that our advertising products work well on a different class of exciting new devices - mobile phones with full Internet browsers like the iPhone and those running Android. These mobile devices have exploded in popularity, and have allowed advertisers to achieve incremental reach and great results. With these high-end phones making up 50% of mobile search queries, it’s highly valuable for advertisers to connect with these users.

“In many ways, an iPad is more similar to these mobile devices than to desktop and laptop computers. It runs on a mobile operating system, has a touchscreen, runs mobile apps, and is highly portable, suited for on-the-go browsing. For this reason we’ve decided for now to include the iPad as a mobile device in AdWords, which means that as AdWords advertisers, you can easily extend the reach of your current ad campaigns to these new types of devices.”

Pricing
According to the current AdWords Help article regarding this matter:
“As with PC-based text or image ads, you determine the cost of your own mobile ad campaign. Your price depends on the keywords you choose, how much you bid, and how successfully you design your ads. You set your own daily budget, which will control your overall spending, but keep in mind that there is never a minimum spending commitment. In addition, you’re only charged when a user clicks on your ad. In the case of mobile text ads, users also have the option to use the click-to-call link in your ad.”

Also:
“Mobile ads pricing - whether image or text - is similar to pricing for ads running on the PC Google Network. You choose a maximum cost-per-click (CPC)* for each keyword from US$0.01 to US$100.00 (or the local currency equivalent), but smart pricing doesn’t apply. You’re only charged when a user clicks on your ad. In the case of mobile text ads, users also have the option of using the click-to-call link in your ad.”

How do you access the new features:
As you create your ads inside adwords you have choose for the “Content Network”. When you see that click “let me choose” and that menu you will find options. Then choose advanced options… in that menu you will see option to choose the mobile device of your liking.

…Also check out Admob. Admob is another network that allows you to advertise on mobile media.

So what is RSS Aggregation? RSS is a signal that is sent out by your blog that lets other sites or people that there is new content on your site.

I like to think of it like a TV set. Your TV has channels and when you switch the dial a new channel appears on your TV. It is the same thing with RSS. The signal that your blog creates can be broadcast through RSS aggregators all over the internet.

How does this benifit you. Well now instead of just having one page on the internet, you can clone it a thousand times. Giving you a thousand more opportunities to that someone click and read your page. Secondly, it gives your site a backlink that will be counted by the search engines. Thirdly, you web site will be indexed much faster than site with no RSS.

RSS Aggergators site are hard to find, so I created a list of some the ones I have used. Give them a try and track your traffic and see a bump in your page visit.
