Disapproved PPC Ads

If you have advertised on “G’s” pay per click network you may have received a message such as “Disapproved Ad: Unacceptable Content” If you read through the networks Terms and Policies you will get some vague ideas of what is wrong.

Your ads can be disapproved for a number of reasons but the main factors are keywords, ad copy, landing page or click through rate.

Your Keywords need to relate to the over all campaign. Be careful not to use copyrighted names or generic keywords. Do some research and find buying keywords (long tail).

Your ads should use words that both describe the landing page and qualify the click. Again stay away from copyrighted words.

Your landing page, if you are an affiliate, should not be a direct link to an offer with an affiliate link. Instead you should create a bridge page, that adds value to the user experience.

Finally, if your click though rate falls below 1%, it’s time to start a new campaign and focus on a handful of high converting keywords.

If you do have the misfortune of having a disapproved ad it is imperative that you act quickly.  Why?  If your ad is disapproved it means that it’s not showing for potential customers!  Once you have identified and fixed the problemed ad(s), “G” will “review” the ad.  To expedite the review process contact your “G” representative via phone or by emailing them with the Client ID and the ad groups with ads pending review.  Believe me, your “G” rep will be happy to help expedite the review of your ads.  Remember, “G” is a business and doesn’t make money unless ads are approved and running.

Please explain this. I thought we were suppose to bring the prospect directly to the
    “Go Now” page.
