Aweber Landing Page - Good For SEO Too!
Tuesday, August 31st, 2010
Here’s a Sample Landing Page:
Sample Landing Page
I’m going to show you how to create this Aweber
landing page. Now, the benefits of using A Webber as your landing page is
first of all you will never be sand boxed. You don’t have to host anything. All
you do is pay your monthly fee for you Aweber account and this will stay up
forever. It’s as simple as sending an email and you can customize a URL and
redirect it to this webpage, if you wanted to. For example, if you wanted to go
and get petrolscooters.com, you can do that or whatever you wanted to get for
SEO purposes. Aweber will also track your stats for you as well. Which is very
useful to know how many hits your offer has.
I’m going to show you an Amazon affiliate product. But you could use
Clickbank, CPA or any other type of affiliate programs.
The only downside to this Aweber landing page is there’s no way to change it.
There’s no way to fix it once you have it up there. So in that case, you’d have
to change all your links, to this page and create a new page.
So, let me show you the steps to setting up a aweber landing page and then
I’ll show you a live example of an aweber landing page.
Inside your Aweber account:
1. Generate or create a new list (click on the "Create new list" link)
2. Name your list with a keyword.
3. Create a you web page html file. Create your content in a html editor (like
NVU, Dreamweaver, Frontpage)
All your content should fit in a 650 pixel wide table.
4. In aweber, click message/broadcast
5. Then click a the green button "New Broadcast"
6. Click the "Source Tab" and paste in you Html from your Editor. Make
sure your images are hosted online.
7. Now, click on the check box next to "Share post via social media"
3/4 down the page.
(Note: copy your new URL and RSS page link.)
8. Check your work and then hit "save & post"
9. Make sure you click the green "Query" button.
After you page is posted:
1. Navigate out to your aweber url. Then click on the link that goes to
the exact page the your content is on. Copy that url.
2. Bookmark and ping your new url.
3. Optional: buy url with your keywords and do SEO.

What does Google’s New rank Qualification mean to your ranking
Friday, July 23rd, 2010
Okay, in June Google activated a new component to it’s ranking system. In basic terms is measures human activity on a web site. In others words are people stopping by your web site? Are they subscribing to the RSS? Are they leaving comments on the site? Those type of things.
I have talked to a few of my friends who had good page ranking in the SERPS and they said they lost about 20% of thier traffic in the adjustment. Some the suggests from them are. First, make sure you have some kind of RSS feed or widget on your website. This will keep the bots coming back to your site to get updates. Second, use a
site like feedage.com to aggregate your RSS feed. This will get you some activity in RSS feeders. Third, step is to create daily back links - I use service call LinkAloha. You can set this to create as many high quality backlinks as you need.
By applying some changes to your sites you should be able to maintain to Search engine rankings.

Switch To Ask.com - Avoid The Google Bully
Tuesday, July 13th, 2010
Are you tired of getting bullied by Google? It’s getting almost impossible to use Google Adwords unless you are a high roller and even then I have heard bad reviews. I created a brand new Adwords
account and sent traffic to blog hosted on my domain. Only to get this message two weeks after I stopped running my campaign.
“We are writing to let you know that your Google AdWords account is at risk of being suspended due to multiple violations related to our Advertising Policies, including the Landing Page and Site Quality Guidelines.”
The letter went on to say:
“Landing pages advertised via AdWords must have relevant, original content, and must be transparent about the nature of the business being promoted. Further, advertisers are prohibited from promoting certain types of sites, which include, but are not limited to:
* Data collection sites that imply delivery of free items, etc., in order to collect private information
* Arbitrage sites without relevant and original content that are designed for the purpose of showing ads
* Affiliate sites without relevant and original content that are designed to drive traffic to another site with a different domain
* “Get-rich quick” sites that make unrealistic promises
* Sites that are deceptive
* Sites that distribute malware or spyware
* Extremely misleading/unverifiable or inaccurate claims”
So basically if I have anything to sell on my page it’s not acceptable.
This is my last dealing with Google I swear… But, That enough trash talking.
Let me tell to about a great company Ask.com. These guys are great to work with and as of right now I can Direct link to my sales pages with out any craziness.

The NEW Adwords - Mobile
Thursday, May 6th, 2010
I am sure you have heard how hot mobile marketing is this year. This is the year of mobile marketing. It’s like someone just opened a candy shop and all the kids are stampeding to get their hands on some goodies.
If you want those kids… you may want to check of the new options inside your Google adwords account.
http://www.google.com/mobileads/advertiser_home.html
Google, being one not to pass up on any mobile device to display their ads on, announced on April 2, 2010 that it has opened up its AdWords platform to advertisers who want to launch campaigns on Apple’s iPad. The announcement reads: “Like many of you, we’re excited about the upcoming release of Apple’s iPad and the promise of tablet computers. Innovative products like the iPad are on the cutting edge of a whole new class of devices that promise to make accessing information and content easier and more fun.
“Over the past year, we’ve been working to make sure that our advertising products work well on a different class of exciting new devices - mobile phones with full Internet browsers like the iPhone and those running Android. These mobile devices have exploded in popularity, and have allowed advertisers to achieve incremental reach and great results. With these high-end phones making up 50% of mobile search queries, it’s highly valuable for advertisers to connect with these users.
“In many ways, an iPad is more similar to these mobile devices than to desktop and laptop computers. It runs on a mobile operating system, has a touchscreen, runs mobile apps, and is highly portable, suited for on-the-go browsing. For this reason we’ve decided for now to include the iPad as a mobile device in AdWords, which means that as AdWords advertisers, you can easily extend the reach of your current ad campaigns to these new types of devices.”
Pricing
According to the current AdWords Help article regarding this matter:
“As with PC-based text or image ads, you determine the cost of your own mobile ad campaign. Your price depends on the keywords you choose, how much you bid, and how successfully you design your ads. You set your own daily budget, which will control your overall spending, but keep in mind that there is never a minimum spending commitment. In addition, you’re only charged when a user clicks on your ad. In the case of mobile text ads, users also have the option to use the click-to-call link in your ad.”
Also:
“Mobile ads pricing - whether image or text - is similar to pricing for ads running on the PC Google Network. You choose a maximum cost-per-click (CPC)* for each keyword from US$0.01 to US$100.00 (or the local currency equivalent), but smart pricing doesn’t apply. You’re only charged when a user clicks on your ad. In the case of mobile text ads, users also have the option of using the click-to-call link in your ad.”
How do you access the new features:
As you create your ads inside adwords you have choose for the “Content Network”. When you see that click “let me choose” and that menu you will find options. Then choose advanced options… in that menu you will see option to choose the mobile device of your liking.
…Also check out Admob. Admob is another network that allows you to advertise on mobile media.

New traffic source allows you to get up to 250,000 visitors a day.
Sunday, March 28th, 2010
What if you could tap into the power of exit traffic?
99% of visitors who stop by your web page never purchase. Once they click off your page they are gone forever.
In this post I am going to share with you a strategy for capturing the traffic that leaves your site and making money. By using both of these tactitcs you can capture up to 50% of the traffic that leaves your site.
Here are list of tools you will need:
1. Free Product To give away
2. Aweber (autoresponder service)
3. Exitfire (FREE exit traffic service)
Step 1:
Let’s first talk about the free product. People love free stuff and if you are going to get people’s personal email information you need to provide them something for free. Lucky for your there are thousands of free products that you can give away. What you need to do is Google the keywords “PLR” and/or “Private Resell Rights”.
There are websites or directories with hundreds of Private Resell Right products. Just find a product that fits into your niche or market and purchase it (don’t spend over $100).
Once you purchased the product upload it to a folder on your web server. (okay some of you are saying I don’t have a web server or web site) I use host9 for my web hosting for $19 a month (unlimited web sites), but there are web host that offer web hosting for as low as $4.95 a year (search around I bet you can find one).
Use the ftp function or software like Filezilla to upload you product to your web host.
Step 2: (optional)
I like to create a video that explains what my product is about. I use this video in the next step. People love videos and it increases my click through rate.
I use camtasia and MS power point to make my videos. Camtasia maybe too pricey for some of you, visit jing.com (free version of camtasia) or camstudio. You will also need a head set to record your voice. Upload your video to YouTube.
Step 3:
In my Aweber account, I set up a new list and the create and opt-in page using their gui. Just use that very basic opt-in form (Choose Pop over). When you are creating your Opt-in form click on the “header” option to edit this part. In the header area add an attention
grabbing headline in RED and then add a picture of the product or pull one from Google images. Then below the image Write “Click Here To Play” and hyperlink it to the video. (note: Create an additional blank web page on your web server. Copy and Paste the code from YouTube into this blank page. Also put a big bold link to download your free product. We are going add another code here in the next step.) Save everything and copy the Java script code onto your web site or blog.
So, if you have it set-up correctly, the form will pop over your web site after about 15 to 30 seconds of being on the page. The viewer will either click on the hyperlink to watch the video or enter their name and email or the will click the X to close the window.
If they click the video link the will be taken to the video page. Let’s go to the next step.
Step 4:
The video page set up will have three components, an embedded YouTube Video, Aweber
Optin Form and the Java Script from Exitfire.
Exitfire allows you to make money on people who exit your web site. It will bring up an exit pop window that will offer your visitor an option to see additional offers. In return people who leave someone
else’s web site will be sent to your web site. This where you can generate up to 250,000 visitors day to your web site.
When you login to your Exitfire account you get a Java script code to paste on your web page.
From Aweber you need to copy the code for the Simple form. The form only needs the Name, the email and submit button.
Then you will need the embed code from the YouTube video.
Now open up a web editor like front page, NVU (FREE) or Dreamweaver and create a page with a table.
Split the table into two columns. Paste the Video embed code in the left column and the web form in the right column.
Paste the Exitfire script anywhere. Save and upload the page to your web server. Be sure to match the hyperlink code your used on the first
Aweber form.
Note: In your Aweber
account set up a message or follow-up that would direct the visitor to the free download page to the product.
Summary:
Okay great the trap is now set. One of three things will happen everytime someone comes to visit your site. 1. They will leave their name and email. 2. They will end up buying something from an
Exitfire offer or an offer on your page. 3. They will exit off your page after getting asked a number of times not to.
Over all you should see an increase in your retention and conversions on your site. Which will increase your
bottom line.

PAD Submission Marketing
Thursday, March 4th, 2010
If you are like most marketers you have never heard of a “PAD Submission”. So what is it and how can it help you market your affiliate products?
PAD file is a standard submission format that is excepted by software download sites. Millions of software packages are downloaded everyday. Where there is traffic, there is money to be made.
I have tried to teach others how to use PAD Submission for SEO and affiliate product promotion in the past but there was just too many steps. The process was two complex and time consuming for most people to use.
Then a marketing buddy told me of Software Submitter Pro. It’s a very simple software that does some powerful things.
To give you a basic overview of the process here, let’s talk about software directories. First of all the have very high page rank and traffic. Which give your site high quality backlinks and instant traffic. Secondly, by submitting your PAD file to just a few of these sites they will compete to get the latest software on the market. In other words your software may end up on hundreds of sites.
But, the technique that is used with the software, converts an html optin page into a exe file. You then post the exe file to over 20 software directories with the submission software.
This all can be done very fast. You can produce 4 -5 files an hour and get hundreds of backlink and visitors.
You can rank for high traffic keywords in hours and start generating email leads within hours.
I would recommend adding this technique to your marketing mix - today.

Setting Your Goals Correctly
Wednesday, February 24th, 2010
The other day I was reading a passage in Zig Ziglar’s book “See You at The Top”. The section about goal setting. To paraphrase, the book was telling a story about a man who came up to Mr. Ziglar after hearing him speak. The man said “You inspired me, I’m going to make a million dollars in the next 12 months” Mr. Ziglar smiled at the man, as to, not crush his dreams but he also new it was not likely to happen. The fact is, the man would have to earn $20,000 a week to meet his goal of $1 million in 12 months.
We have all done this, we have all set goals with out really creating a path to achieve them. We have all heard the saying “If your dream is big enough, the facts do not matter.” I do not know any millionaire in the world that got their on dreams alone.
What happens when you do not make a million dollars in 12 months? You feel real bad and your confidence goes way down and you become very discouraged.
Stop, the abuse. One of my mentors showed me a very easy way to set financial goals. Focus all your energy on making that first dollar. If you can figure out how to earn $1 online you can figure out how to double it. So, instead of setting your goal to make a million dollars in 12 months. Figure out how to make a dollar a week. Then a dollar a day then $2 dollars a day. And keep doubling your efforts and resources.
All the time you are learning and growing. You will gain more and more resources to double your efforts even more.
So pick one product, one marketing method and focus on it until you figure out how to make your first dollar. Then figure out how to double it.
The only way to start a fire using a magnifying glass is focus the beam of light on one spot for a long time. Use the power of focus to get your internet marketing business off the ground.
Remember: Do not go into markets that a: no one else is in & b: that have small number of people to sell to.

How to Find people to market to on the internet?
Thursday, February 11th, 2010
As an online marketer you have to learn how to find people to market to. Where are all the people? How do you reach them with your marketing message? These are both good questions and it will take me a while to answer.
To start there is only 4 ways to get your marketing message in front of people. You have to do one of the following things:
1. Go where they are
2. Get in the way
3. Interrupt them
4. Direct message
Go where they are: The biggest movement online, has been to social media like Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, YouTube, etc. 10’s of millions of people login to these networks every day. While there are a lot of people on these networks it is a little hard to reach them. You could try and make friends with as many people as possible, but that is very time consuming. The other method would be to buy ads on these networks, but typically the conversion is very low.
Get In The Way: This is the method I prefer. The idea behind the method is to figure out what people want and then get your web site in the way. In other words they will have to visit your site or see your ad before they go to the content they wanted to see.
I offen use blogs and opt-in forms to accomplish this task.
The Interrupt Method: This is the method that advertiser and consumers are use to. It’s the old fashion display ad. Online it’s banner ads and text ads.
Direct Message: Is when you communicate using a list of some kind. The direct response methods such as a email, text message , phone or mail.
To find people, you have to choose on of these 4 methods of communicating to them. Depending on your budget and your offer will determine which method you use.
Take a moment and ask yourself, where is my market and what is the best way to reach them?

Affiliate Marketing On Social Media
Thursday, December 3rd, 2009
The great explorer Don Quixote left his home on a foolish quest against great
odds and proved that “One man scorned and covered with scars still strove with his last ounce of courage to reach the unreachable stars; and the world was better for this.”
As you join me, on our quest to conquer social media. On our journey we will face many foes and overcome many snares and traps. But the most valuable thing you will gain from our trip is the seven laws of social media marketing.
So here’s the seven laws of social media marketing:
1. Have The Right Mindset
2. What Do Your Friends Want?
3. Attract Friends To You.
4. Survey Your Friends.
5. Make First Contact With Your Friends.
6. Have A Conversation With Your Friends.
7. Convert Friends To Raving Fans.
So let’s take a brief look at each one of the laws listed above. As each law has many elements that when combined together create a powerful mechanism for you to generate the results you are looking for in your online marketing efforts.
So, what kind of mindset, do you have to have to be a social media marketer? Well, I’ve been an artist for most of my life. Actually when I was younger, I won a few awards, and I spent my summers going to art camps. As a teenager I earned money by spending my nights drawing on T-shirts, making Murals and painting images for sale. You see when an artists looks at a blank canvas or sculpture… they see the end result. They see the canvas complete with full color images. The sculptor see the figure in the granite before they chisels even their first chunk of granite.
The artists also uses the tools of his trade to develop his work of art into his final vision. They work and overcome faults and obstacles along the way. The artists will not give up on his vision until his vision has become reality.
So too, like the artists we must first have a vision for what we want to accomplish. And secondly to never… ever…. ever… give up until our vision becomes reality. All obstacles can be overcome in time.
Law number two: “What do your friends want?” Finding out what your friends want is the most important step. You can have the greatest, the newest, the brightest, the loudest gizmo that has ever been created for sale, but if no one wants it… it’s just a piece of junk. How do you find out what your friends want? You ask them. Then you do some research and then offer them a solution to their problem.
Law number three: “Attract friends to you.” People are attracted to like minded people… For REAL, this is how countries are made and laws are passed. It is a group of people who share a common point of view. People will be attracted to you, if you share your thoughts and lead the conversation.
Law number four: “Survey your friends” No matter what you are going to have friends who are not going to do what you ask them to do. I remember my uncle who refused to evacuate his home when a hurricane was coming his way. He survived but his house did not. But there was no convincing him that he was in danger. Your online friends are the same way. So you have to sort out the ones who are willing to come along for the ride and those who will not.
Law number five: “Make first contact with your friends”. You only have one opportunity to make a first impression. So don’t blow it. To many times people wait for people to come to them online. You need to contact them first… because it makes you the leader. With social media you have 100’s of millions of people to choose from.
Law number six: “Have A Conversation With Your Friends”. How many times have you received a marketing message you did not ask for? Have you met people online who just want you to join their program or buy their product? It’s like asking someone to merry you before you have ever met. You need to take a “Friends” first approach.
Friends help friends.
Law number seven: “Convert Friends To Raving Fans”: if you follow all the prior lessons. Converting friends to raving fans is quite easy. Just ask what your friends want, go and find it, then tell your friends where to find it. If you help your friends get what they want… they will be converted to raving fans.
Okay, well that was just a brief overview of the seven laws of social media marketing. Now I’m sure you have lots of questions, and that’s why I’ve developed my free seven day email boot camp which will take you in depth though each of these laws.
But the most important thing about this post is that I really want to make a real connection with you… my readers. Those people who have put the time and energy to read through this post definitely deserve my time and energy in return. So I need YOU to contact me either via (IM) instant message or give me a call on the phone… I’ll be glad to spend sometime with you and talk to you further about this.
